The bushing, part 092 564 78, is a sacrificial sleeve that carries rotating or oscillating load so that the surrounding housing bore does not wear directly, and it is deliberately the softer of the two mating surfaces. Once its clearance opens up beyond tolerance, the load it was protecting the housing from starts reaching the housing itself.
