The bearing bushing, part 152 266 48, is the sleeve that sits between a bearing and its housing or shaft, giving the bearing a true, replaceable seat so that the bore of the main casting does not have to be machined each time something wears. It keeps the bearing concentric, and because it is a stationary part it is easy to overlook as a source of trouble until the bearing it carries begins to run loose.
