The cylinder, part 550 352 19, is the machined housing the piston strokes inside on a Sandvik HL1560 rock drill, and its bore finish is what the piston's own seal and guide surfaces are matched against. Scoring or ovality in that bore is rarely caused by the cylinder itself; it is usually the result of contamination or a worn piston running against it, which is why the piston and bushings are worth checking whenever a cylinder is condemned.
